Full timing help

Right guys n gals, my job is looking very shakey, job cuts credit crunch and all that bolony, if i get the push i'm off full timing in mi van, nothing to loose, has anyone full timed in scotland and what is the job market like up there?, i've done the google stuff but they are all agencies, what do all you other FT's do for work?, unless you have the luxury of retirment, unfortunatley i'm only 46, bearing in mind i am female so labouring on building site's isn't an option, although if they give me a pink shovel i might consider it seriously i would like anyone's veiws, good or bad

I have not done it but met a Gent who spends summer in UK and then winters in Spain. He assured me it was a good number and was well run.

yeah a do, thanks chick, i'l wash a few pots for ya, earn me some pennies something will turn up, just in that situation where its pretty tough at work, dont know if i outght to wait for mi redundency or bugga off if i see another good job, decisions decisions, ah well nowt a can do about it, hows your venture going anyway, have you opened up yet? wondered if you wo still alive, thought the locals might av done you in

Lol, I have been trading for four weeks now hence my lack of activity around here ( you know the hours !!!).

The local natives seem a friendly bunch in the main and have found them quite supportive.

I am looking to introduce food, I have a commercial kitchen but have been concentrating on the wet sales and entertainment in the evenings.

There is an opportunity there if you were interested. I dont have the time to run a kitchen. It is rent free gas and electric FOC ...I am happy for someone to run it and take a cut of turnover. Also free accomodation !!! ( except £450) council tax

It wont make anyone a millionaire but there is a living to be made.

Back to your own predicament, I am sure you will make the right decisions. TBH after France Scotland was my favoured destination, I guess the work where there is some will perhaps be seasonal but that fits in with the lifestyle a lot of the time.

ey might tek you up on that offer, got tuns of experience in that line, told ya i make a wicked meat n tattie pie, used to que for miles for it,, i'm away up northumberland working all next week but i'l pop up and see you after, talk businss and fulltiming, might even show you how to pull a pint, lol, glad your enjoying it, its a great life if you have the determination to succeed,

A few years ago i traveled through Africa for several months and planned on a similar trip to India. The thing was it was monsoon in India when i left Africa so i deiced rather than get a proper job in the Uk or spend all my India travel money waiting for the monsoon to end i would pick fruit in Kent and live in the camper van i had back then.
it starts early in the year with the soft fruits and as the year goes on the hard fruits then the hops at the end of the year. It was great, you lived on the farms had a shower block , campfires most nights and made loads of new mates. The most i earned was £70 cash and the least was £17 per day depending on the previous nights drinking round the fire. It was a great lifestyle. If we fancied a change of scenery we would just leave and start at a new farm as you got payed t the end of every day anyway.
Back then before the internet there was a book called summer jobs round Britain and all the farms were listed in it.
