Hi all well now i have got round to becoming a full member but not very good with computers so not sure how to let you know about me on my profile and what other places i can now go to on here etc... and no i am not old just dont enjoy anything that comes with a manuel.... so all advise gratefully accepted. Also on another subject asked you all about going up to manchester two weeks ago and what to do as we thought weather would be lousy if we carried on to scotland great advise from everyone was given however the pull of the mountains just to much and after depositing aging aunt back to manchester from here in Plymouth we bit the bullet and continued on, arriving early hours morning far end Loch Lomond (only time of day i can cope with going through that narrow twisty section at end of loch. Walkers layby and sleep, next day up early hills all around little traffic so headed off towards ......well anywhere in fact ended up down lane back of GLEN Orchie hotel wonderful small road but fine nice small car park at end stayed there overnight again walked two thirds up Munro but beaten back by oh yes what was it..........SNOW BLIZZARD 16th May someone tell someone it is supposed to be summer. Anyway to continue next day Kinloch Leven bad rain but who cares what a view and site on waters edge all facilities £15.00 great. I f i am rambling just want to share it with you cos next day SUN and then more SUN and more SUN all up till we came home with sun tans............so to conclude what the hell we are wild campers take on anything ! oh but so glad the sun shone. Oh forgot to say when we woke up first day got out of van and noticed end to exaust had come off strike one then hundreds missed calls from daughter in Essex she on first day of cabin crew training and was now in hospital with severe food poisoning strike two (ps she ok now and gets her wings on friday) but after that nothing really major thank goodness so there you all have it. P.s. also sat for two hours watching golden eagle eating couple hundred feet from van.

Fill in what you want to in the boxes

As for places you can visit on the forum try clicking on the various links under the wild camping banner at the top. Since you are a full member, one of the things you will see is the POI download forum under "wildcamping resources" heading. You'll have to visit the forum page at http://www.wildcamping.co.uk/forums/forum.php and scroll down to find it. You'll probably need some help from canalsman about how to use them.

:welcome:

Don't worry about not being computer knowledgable - there's plenty of people on here can advise and help especially in getting all the POIs onto your computer, iPad, or iPhone.

Skye is on my list of places to visit. :)

You must go as soon as you can it is beyond words a seperate haven all to its self apart from scotland there are so many different climate areas there mountains down to forrests and even tropical gardens. When i first joined this site i posted photos of my husband and i renewing our wedding vows from our motor home down at the bottom end of skye sleet area it was truely wonderful white wedding from camper van put on dress on walkers camp site definately one for the memory book but just being on skye makes me feel good. Didnt manage to get there last couple of weeks just abit to much on the fuel expense but will try again next year. Home in Plymouth now missing my mountains may just take cuppa and sit in van day dream alittle.
