bit late for me travelling down through france but how it varies there have seen it at 1.29 and as much as 1.54 paying 1.23 down here in almeria so just over a quid a litre.

the price of derv has droped here i paid £1.22 in dorchester this week at a shell garage cheaper than the local tesco

for your return journey use french supermarkets/hypermarkets they are usualy lower in price than garages and the autoroutes dearest the same as our motorways

thanks for your advice but it will be several months before my return that is unless we decide to stay

no house to clean
the only reason to return may be family
if i had no children and grandchildren i would have stayed there years ago
give it a go
