Just arrived in Dover at the start of a trip to France to find that the fuel filler cap has been left at the last fuel station. Luckily Halfords still open so bought an emergency cap. Does anyone know where to get a replacement as all the ones I can see on line have only two prong/catches on the cap and mine needs three. I have tried phoning the fuel station to see if they will keep it till I can pick it up but nobody is picking up

Hi. I'm travelling to Dover tomorrow morning and crossing to Calais in the afternoon. Where was the filling station? if it's on my route I can call in and see if it's there and try and get it to you?

Hooray. Just got through to the Petrol station and they have found it. My biggest fear was someone would chuck it. They are kindly going to keep it for our return. Thank you so much for your kind offer of picking it up. Now that the panic is over I have remembered my manners

No problem. Such a pain but at least you'll get it back. Have a great trip :D

And you. Where are you headed. We were going to start in Orleans but I’ve noticed the temperature next Tuesday is 36c and that’s way to hot for me now-a-days but also way to hot for the dogs so a last minute change of plan and now heading for the west coast somewhere south of the Loire.

Sounds good. Heading to the Alps for the las few stages of the Tour de France.
