Come down here lots of work on the land but the money is crap but you can park and get water and the sun tan is fee:wacko::wacko::wacko:

watched a programme about this,British farmers are very reluctant to employ British workers, according to them, they dont work hard enough and farmers are having to top up their pay to minimum rate,

Lucky if they get 25 euros a day here but plenty do it even some Brits:(

I'd rather be picking fruit in Spain for 25 euros a day than sat in this office!!!

Now that very funny i said some thing like that many years ago and drove over to do it best thing i ever did.:wacko::wacko:

Any idea what sort of money can be made - don't expect it to be much, but every little helps!

Try Herefordshire ,Ledbury, nice little market town.
Try Withers,i remember seeing motorhomes staying when i was there.
There are a good few farms .

I know of a fruit farm at Debenham in Suffolk that has fruit pickers from the CCC, the owner originally advertised in the CCC magazine for pickers, a new owner took over and the old gang of pickers stayed on. The farm has it's own camping field for pickers and a hook up cost £1 a night, the wage was the minimum wage per hour,no piece work, all the fruit you could eat too.Camping was / is free. Originally Raspberries were picked for about 6 weeks, then there was work available pruning and general farm work, now sadly Raspberries are not grown on the farm only Apples. Raspberries were discontinued because the Supermarkets ruled the roost and paid little money for first class fruit. The owner opened a CL site Caravan Club on the farm to help generate income and I believe that is going well. If you would like the address P.M. me and I will pass it on, I assume the farm is still operating.
