I went on my motorhome after work today just to check everything ok, I found the kitchen tap frozen as when I drained down I forgot to leave the kitchen tap open, I had left the shower room taps open so they were ok. Now I have never forgotten to do this before as every time we get home from our travells the first thing I do is drain down religiously. I have thawed it out with fan heater and just hope allright when we next use her, so it might be good to just check your systems.

Went to have a check on mine yesterday (1990 Eribacar Renault Trafic 2.5 deisel). Not been touched for 3 months. Turned on ignition waited for heater plug light to go out, fired up within 2 seconds of turning key, well chuffed!! Just need to wait till the salt's off the roads now.

When getting down to temperatures like this weekend just draining down is not so good. ..
After draining down you need to go on a 10 - 15 mile run with all the taps open and the water heater and fresh water tank drain tap open road vibration will then shake all the water out of odd little corners and really drain down if you have a Whale tap remove the tap spout as these hold water and split easy when any water freezes in them.
B & Q here have a 3 for 2 offer on 5 litre concentrated windscreen wash additive as we use our van all year this is a good buy for the toilet flush either neat or as a strong solution

Thanks for the reminder. Just been out to check mine and all OK although all of my pipes and tanks are on board. But it has proved to me that I got the insulation right as it was -9 here last night.
