Hi all from rainy Ironbridge :)

Does anyone use a bed on their van front seats for a child? I need one for my VW caddy but it’s quite small and the seats don’t swivel so I’m a bit limited to what I can use. The rear bed isn’t really big enough for 2.

I tried an air bed but my daughter is too wiggly so it slid off the seat and she ended in a bit of a muddle. The cross-cab ones which sit on the window frames are too long and I haven’t really got the know-how to make one.

I’m looking at one which is a mattress with sides that clip up but it seems a lot of money for what it is https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Childs-F...-/233582396976?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286

I may make one like that but just wondered if anyone else had any suggestions?

This is what us old timers used to use back in the day...

justkampers do a front bed rests on the window ledges https://www.justkampers.com/?gclid=...nfzWHhUxpDFc6LTC-r3NCQzkhfau91mRoCdBQQAvD_BwE
also ,most camping shops do stretcher beds ,foldable ,with metal frames which are easy to cut down a bit and remarkably cheap . these can also be supported by the window ledges . an added bonus is waking the little sleepyhead by opening a door ,causing the bed to collapse

Think that may be the way to go if I can just cut the length down. I’ll have to give it a go
