Reading between the lines seems the Local Council are using their power to stop an unofficial campsite which is a shame as genuine motorhomes stopping is income for the business, now lost. This country is getting worse.Wouldnt be suprised if a local councillor owns a campsite nearby the pub? Many times this is the case

Not only can the council argue there is no campsite licence but also the premises could beheld in breach of their alcohol licence

Channa

Not with you on the premises licence being breached? As a holder myself of a Personal Alchohol Premises Licence I dont recall in training any reference to camping and campsites. The council will be looking at the campsite planning i/e spacing between units etc for public safety, and the Licensee wont have a leg to stand on on this as they are just trying to be helpfull by allowing motorhome stopovers, for an income in money spent on the premises by said motorhome owners.
