Just in case anyone migrating south for the winter via France is not aware of the situation with the natives being unhappy with their leader over pension reforms. There is alot of unrest and it is effecting fuel supplies to garages perhaps through panic buying.
It may be advisable to top up in the UK before crossing as I certainly wouldn't want you to arrive here on fumes and then have problems getting fuel. Have posted an article from the French Internet. Fingers crossed that it doesn't escalate. We are still waiting on our winter fuel delivery for the house.
Regards Nolly.
P.S Dont forget to turn off your gas before boarding the ferry.

The metropolis of 12 refineries were still on strike Sunday, for his part assured the CGT group Total, which states that "the game of cat and mouse" with police would resume in fuel depots and denouncing requisitions Staff at some sites.

Fuel oil industries ensure that "the situation is calm," the 12 refineries in the strike by the CGT
The Economy Minister Christine Lagarde has warned his side on Sunday on Europe 1, gas station attendants against increases in fuel prices not justified under the pretext that there is a perception of scarcity, "these are behaviors that would be "punished."
The very long queues found all over France on Saturday are the result of "panic" consumers, "said Schilansky," we did not have enough trucks to supply the stations' robbed by motorists.
"Today (Sunday, ed), it is calm," he said, "one book with a vengeance," thanks to the waivers authorizing the movement of trucks of 44 tons, which "helps to restore the system of quasi-normal ".
"The threat is substantially different," said Schilansky, who speaks of "several weeks" of stock available "before us."
There are about 200 fuel depots in France, of unequal size. The most important are in the Paris region and near major ports. The Fos-sur-Mer (Bouches-du-Rhone), who sees spending some 500 trucks per day, saw 800 trucks pass until Saturday to ensure refueling stations, according to Ufip.
With regard to airports, "we're almost normally replenish the Roissy Airport, Orly Airport has never had a problem," assured the president of the Ufip.
If the pipeline that supplies the airport has never been on strike, "we had trouble putting products in," he said, adding that "we have found ways" to do so.
For its part, the Secretary of State for Transport Dominique Bussereau said Sunday on Europe 1 that Roissy-Charles de Gaulle was "fed perfectly", that there was "no more concern" for this platform Paris and that "indefinitely", and "even less at Orly."
CGT in Le Havre for his part said that the pumps supplying kerosene in the Paris airports were re-circulated Sunday morning by "untrained managers," which poses "serious security concerns" and constituted "an unacceptable assault on right to strike. "
"The situation remains tense," said Schilansky, "but we found ways to cope with moments of acute crisis." However, "we can not hold forever," he warned.
