Well it would appear that we are set for a return to touring up here on Monday 26 April.
Although not specifically mentioned campsites should be opening then also.
She announced that hotels and B&Bs would be open on that date, so surely the sites will also open.
So this means that you lot south of the Rio Grande can safely venture over without fear of being fined.
So I have planned a trip to Torridon, Morvich, Loch Carron, and Ratagan Leaving on that day, when the wee buggers are still asleep.
Cannot wait :)(y)

I just love it when folk tell you how to beat the wee buggers. From eating garlic, to putting on skin so soft, to smoking a pipe, lighting a fire. The wee buggers must kill themselves laughing when they see their next victim swallowing garlic pills whilst applying their skin so soft. As my mate says only one thing works with midges, don’t be in the same place as them at the same time, because if you are god won’t help you. :)

A wee breeze works.

We had two guys in our watch that were masters of that dark art.
The first well his nickname summed him up Fartin Martin he could clear a room in seconds and to abide by the Geneva conventions he gave a loud audible warning. The other guy well he was sneaky and much more deadly. He gave no audible warning accept for a slight snigger as his odour started to reach us. But not even Fartin Martin or Edd would stand a chance against the Scottish midge. :)

I think Trev recommends Linux against Midges? Cos the wee beasties get though Windows :)
