[SUP][/SUP]Most GP surgeries offer this now, I have just downloaded the IOS app and it is good. Looks like the future for health care. You don't 'video consult' with your own doctor of course, but it does offer free, access to a real NHS doctor and of course you can be anywhere in the world when you make the call.

Push Doctor on the App Store

If your GP isn’t signed up for it then it is a paying service but all surgeries round here are in the scheme and I’ve had an email confirmation it’s free ...

I bet my GP isnt signed up for it. In the summer I asked if they could email a prescription to a chemist in Flamborough. They said all they could do was "fax" it over! FAX! It took them two days to sort it out. I think I chucked my fax machine out about 15 years ago.

Hey computer expert, have you not got a fax programme on your PC/Laptop?

Anyway I can understand Surgeries still having Fax because there ae thousands of them being used in the NHS.

I’m not ill (yet) honest but I just thought I’d see what it would be like if I wanted an appointment. Wow.

I used to provide 0870 fax to email numbers for businesses again about 15 years ago! Who the hell would want to send a fax now (Well the NHS it seems). I had no idea the NHS were still using them in such numbers. What a complete waste of time and money.

Confession time. We still use a fax machine at out team base (NHS Team). We only use it to send stuff to GP practices. Oh well, I guess our little machine will get thrown out soon.

Just hope it turns out to be a better service than NHS Direct was, as that was a complete waste of time and money.
