brass band fest

don't know if they still do it, but the Green Dragon in Hardraw, near Hawes in Yorkshire used to host massed brass band competitions.

As it's one of the finest pubs in the land, with its own waterfall, great ale and a fine attitude to overnighters (we rocked up unannounced on Christmas Day afternoon and it was no problem. bit grumpy at first, as they were closed and sitting down for lunch [!]but they soon came round), worth calling in anyway.

but only if your truck is normal sized, you need to go through a narrow gate and archway.
