Exactly 8 days today, we are off on our yearly trip to the Spanish/Portugese coastline. The route we are taking is from Calais-Bethune-Arras-Cambrai-Charlesville-Luxembourg-Metz-Nancy-Colmar-Belfort-Biel/Bienne-Neufchatel-Laussane-Geneve-Nantau-Lyon-Clermont Ferrand-Tulle-Perigueux-Bergerac-Argen-Montauban-Auch-Tarbes-Lourdes-Pau-Sallent de Gallego and then into Spain.
I would appreciate if any of you folks can give me tips or advice of places I should pop into to visit, as long as it is not too far of route. Places, lakes, castles etc. I know a couple of guys on here know France pretty well, one such guy is ***** (Graham) Leaving from Calais on the 03.05 and want to take about 6 weeks before I hit the Spanish border in the Pyrennes. Returning in the first half of September. Thanks in advance.

Graham (*****) Would like to meet up with you some day. Attached photos so you can identify our MH. We will be starting off from Tarragona, then beach hopping the full length of Spain into Portugal until we reach Faro. Have a wonderful trip yourself and the Mrs. Have fun.

Hi Graham and Ann,
Can't see Annecy on your list. Have a walk along the top of the lake and a drink/meal in the old town, well worth the short detour from Geneve?

Hi David.
Thanks for reminding me what your van looks like, I did remember that you had the new decals and it should be easy to spot.
Look forward to meeting some time, hopefully in great surroundings with equally good weather.
We still do not know where as yet, just can't decide if to go into Germany and eastern France and then over to the Pyrenees or maybe straight over to Galicia and northern Portugal. That's the beauty of a M/H as you can decide on the day or a whim.
Can't wait now as getting near:have fun:

Hi David & Anne.

If you are anywhere near Samoéns, a visit to the Plaine Joux is worth a detour the views of the sun setting on Mont Blanc are stunning. But check the the weather as its at 1700 mts. Sixte-fer-à-Cheval is just a few kilometers away with a free aire as well as other places for overnight parking. This for us has got to be the most magical place in the whole of France.
Where ever you decide have a great time.
Bonne route Nolly.

Hi Nolly, done it last year on our way to the hot sands of Spain. Drove through the Alps, Andermatt, Matterhorn and Mont Blanc. A fantastic experience. Doing it again on the way back towards Germany. Thanks for your warm wishes. 7 days to go. Start loading up tomorrow slow and easy.
