Hi,

Can any one tell me if there is any off road parking in the Forest of Dean.

Basically looking to park camper up on grassy area, unload table and chairs, and have a bit of a picnic.

Also would i be able to BBQ at such a place.

Try the sculpture trail car park opposite the Speech House. It is one of the more secluded and less well used parking places and no gates at night etc. Not grassy though, you'll have problems finding grassy park ups accessible to vehicles. We have had BBQ's there (off the ground), but there is almost certainly some bye-law prohibiting BBQ's anywhere in the forest, so that would be at your own risk/discretion.
