Hi
Just wondering about a Chausson 610.
Has anyone any pros or cons?
Especially on the electric bed? Likes/dislikes?
What about the chassis-Ford or Fiat?
Ford seem to be coming more popular especially on the Continent!
Any info will be much appreciated.
Best wishes

Fiat

I have just bought a Fiat Lunar 06 plate came with one key? I ask for the motorhome supplier where are the other keys they never came with the motorhome I said I would like another key for safety to cut a long story short they booked me in to the main Fiat garage and I arrived at 0930 with plenty of coffee supplied by the garage 1435pm was told they cannot get the code so they cannot get the van to start being disabled I was stuck 27miles from home panic set in then a chap came through and said he had put the old ignition switch back and got it started but was told to carry the new keys with the van they had changed every lock 5 in total thinking about it now Fiat garage could not start my van because the code in the key was not responding.
Me thinks Fiats are safe unless someone knows different.

Ford, more modern interior by far and a better drive.

Fiat, better security by far.

Outcome - I'd like a Ford but would go Fiat with that much money involved.

The latest Transit Euro 6 engines have had problems with faulty injectors. A known problem but dealers have been letting the vans go to customers without saying anything and letting them find out when the "service now" warning comes on.

We have an electric bed on our Dethleffs. Works a treat.

Only downside is one less roof light but the interior is light and bright so it's ok. We value the extra floor space (and so does the dog).

It's on the fiat chassis and drives well. The fiat auto gearbox is 'quirky' but I'm used to it now.

Did you have the red/brown master key if you have you can have one cut and programmed I only have one key no master so that they replace the lot then Fiat give out a new code mine had no written code or master. I am waiting for Fiat factory to give a code to match my keys

I was offered a key cut for £16 but it would not start the van it's the code part that's expensive you have been lucky to have it done for that price.
