Oh dear that was short lived, Im sure you will sell theres lots of people that will drive either, I myself dont have a problem with LHD its the swapping between manual and auto that gets me:D

Hi Cas, its ok, I am trying hard, and working on her. I dont really want to sell it, and other problem, you never know if its as good has the one you have. So my hopes are not done for yet

It does seem maybe you not give it long enough or were you miss sold for LHD???????? I nearly brought lhd but spent more time on pluses and minuses and found RHD won for me:D.

If dealer brought they maybe sympathetic and do a similar swop.If you do get RHD spend 6 months in the UK until going over the drink I did and found my confidence alot better and well used to the MH all the best on your decision

i suppose if your wife is uncomfortable with driving it and she is the main driver it's probably best to go for her preference, after all the keener to drive it she is the more you will get out and about in it. i must say i found little to put me off and am now at the point where i hardly notice the difference

Sorry to here that you are having difficulties adapting to LHD. I know it can be daunting at first, I must admit that my own experience has been in American vehicles though they are big and bulky are automatic which does help.

One small piece of advice I would endevour to offer is that if you do intend to travel on the continent much, it may be worth percevering with it, as I believe that you will find driving a LHD much easier once across the channel.

Im sorry but I can't see what the problem is:confused::confused,L/H, R/H,
I used to drive a 35 ton crane on the road and it was neither.
The steering wheel was in the middle:eek:,took a few days to get used to but then no problem.
Anyway, It's only a matter of time before we, in the U.K. are forced to drive on the right... Now that would be a problem:eek:
 
It looks like a good bargain for those features.

I don't think we would ever drive on the right in the UK, the cost of modifying the junctions and signage would be prohibitive.
 
Have you looked into the cost of having it converted to RHD, supose it depends on what youve already got in it and what you will lose/gain by changing it
 
Conversion to LHD to RHD is generally not worth it for most vehicles. You can budget £5000. You need a new steering rack for starters, and some A class only have one door to the cab. (Wiring can be a bugger too!)

NO problem. It would be phased in over 2 weekends, all even number plates on the first Sunday and the odds the next. It worked in TURKMEXIKISTAN.

RHD to LHD

Hi, I think it was Sweden that went from RHD to LHD over the weekend, I remember seeing some pic,s in the paper showing cars going all ways, It was only 2 years ago i think and with these fools in power who knows what rubbish they will think of next, and god up the UK if that to bit double dealer TB becomes head of the EU, then it will happen, along with the euro, the queen, and all that remains of GB.

Look at the number of complex motorway junctions, associated electronic signage, traffic lights, and one way systems we have compared to Sweden. Many of our junctions wouldn't even work with traffic going the other way. There's no comparison with the investment needed with infrastructure like ours to that of Sweden etc. Don't take my word for it though, check it out on the net :D

Hope you got the tyre info ok, sorry to now see you are selling it. Our first big motorhome was a LHD Winnebago Warrior, what a baptism of fire that was, bought it over near Ludlow, then had to drive it back to Northampton! 8ft wide AND lhd! Joan dived in the glovebox or behind the dash EVERY time we met an oncoming vehicle, but by the time we got home I had adapted from driving to the white line; to driving to the kerb! So perhaps she's trying to tell you something!!??!!
