Most of us have heard of people winging that the cabin was too cramped on their cruise ship. Well this is the accomodation layout on the British slave ship Brookes.
(Hope the never served up mushy peas)?

As I live not far away from Barmouth, people who have visited there may remember the cafe on the beach next to the harbour. It's called Bath house, and was used to wash the slaves prior to selling them nearby. Some parts of our past are hard to believe nowerdays. I personally believe that the do gooders are wrecking our country. But maybe, just maybe, they had a point in this case.

I live near whitehaven and have visited the 'Rum story' a couple of times so i have seen something like this before....it makes you sick . Ironic isnt it? , this is the 'regulated' slave trade , what was it like when it was unregulated. Doesnt bear thinking about really . Can any one remember the TV series 'roots' from a few decades ago ? .i wish they would repeat that instead of the s*hite that is often on now

hi, if you ever get the chance to visit gambia .they supossedly have kunta kinty,s birth place and a house where he lived. (the star of roots) the uk were the leaders in slaves. even in our life time dr.barnardo,s sold youg men from uk to australia . i remember the fuss at the time but its forgotten and pushed under the carpet now.

roots is still on tv on the of the free channels on sky between 315-328.
