Absolutely lovely but the most moving place we stopped at this June was Oradour sur Glane, a truly moving experience.

Sam, the pic was taken just before you get to the Spanish/French border on the Meditterranean coat road.
Really spectacular, did a circular tour, down the coast to the border than a circle inland back to St Cyprien where we were on a municipal (in a tent before we bought the motorhome in July),
stayed there over a week and then had a week on a 4 star 'Cala Gogo'
super site, on the beach with one of the best pool compexes we've ever stayed at.
