We've been in Bosnia & Herzegovina for a week. Our plan was to spend 2 days in Sarajevo and then north to Slovenia.
As we were about to leave Mostar on Friday we found out that the road to Sarajavo was closed due to flooding and a major landslide. Also north of Sarajevo there was serious flooding.
Plan B
We headed south to Stolac and Trebinje, in Bosnia.
We will take a ferry from Dubrovnik to Bari in Italy on Monday.
We will travel from Bari to Porto Venere, where we will follow the coast to Marseille.
Until we needed to change our route we had not thought about Italy - we covered some of the north on the way out. We want to avoid the big cities and associated tourist hotspots - between us we've done most of them. Options could be up the east coast from Bari, up the middle of Italy or a combination. Small towns and villages, nature areas, would all be of interest.
Any top tips for Italy would be appreciated.
