I was in fleetwood a fortnight ago - parked at the side of the road waiting for darkness to decend so I could drive the co pilot through Blackpool lights (I know.....its sad!) apparently some motorhome users are having 'difficulty' finding the approved carpark for overnighting - I saw one parked up on the grass verge overlooking the sea who showed every intention of staying there the night and another who was parked behind me (near the ferry terminal) who twice drove off and returned 10-15 minutes later to the same spot maybe just maybe he was actually looking for the carpark or may have been just awaiting nightfall for the lights.

any how I declined Fleetwoods offer of staying the night (£5) and went to a Blackpool pub car park - also £5 but that included steak and chips!

Basically, you turn left or right depending on your direction of travel at The Mount pub.The downside of the car park is you get no view whereas you can park up by the Cafe and get a wonderful sea view for free

Just noticed that the 12 month trial period ends this month so will be interesting to see if they continue with it.Cant imagine they wont as they have nothing to lose by continuing with the scheme as you do see quite a few using it

Spending a couple of nights here myself, the app for paying the fees is easy. I parked at the car park down the hill (opposite the mount as previous poster said)
A few parked up near the cafe on the road and on the hard verge overlooking the sea, and half a dozen also parked outside the Euston hotel next to the public lavs. There are 4 or 5 others with me on the car park, Slept like a log it was so quiet and dark. Recommended, for a brew in the hut cafe in the morning. I cycled down to Blackpool front, lovely day today.

We stopped by the Kiosk recently and a local who parked next to us to eat his evening Fish and chips said free parking for motorhomes is limited in the area apart from the chargeable car park on the front! Not a bad place to be honest.

Last few times we have been to fleetwood gangs of teenagers have came down and been damaging the beach huts running up and down the roofs and climbing up on the cafe roof. Was going to stop there Wednesday night and go the market but noticed the gangs back just after everyones gone home. It was still daylight at 18.30 when we were going up to the mount. When we spotted a gang of them in the bushes right under the cctv camera at the crossing chucking eggs at cars. So we decided not to stop and went to St Anne's instead.
