Fitting a new max air remote unit

Looking for advice on the best sikoflex type of sealer to use on unit to roof 521?
also was considering the tape prior to fixing
any tips or recommendations greatl appreciated

The mastic tape is better as it's not as easy to squash it flat.

I get mine via Ebay it's good stuff, but most caravan places should stock it too, this is the brand I use different sizes available.

I think Jeff(exwindsurfer) fitted a Maxair unit to his van early last year. He should have good idea.
