Well guys we finally made it away in the new van.
We found a piece of paradice on the east Kent coast just south of Deal, a small hamlet called Kingsdown.
The site was owned by Badon Powell (Lord) and was and still is a scout camp. Now owned privately it offers beautiful view east over the sea with whiste cliffs and lovely pebble beaches. The site was empty apart from a group of 10 lesbian who were great fun.
All the usuall fascillities and a path down to the beach and at £4 per night you can't go wrong.
Now here comes the good bit, just below the site there is a small dead end road that is just perfect for a spot of wilding, the local are lovely and there is a great pub on the beach called The Zetland who do good meals and pints.
You are only 5 mins from the centre of Deal and Walmer has a lovely prom with no yellow lines,we parked up there all day and had a great time with grassy areas just next to the beach.
Kingsdown in a beautiful hamlet with walks all the way to St. Margets and beyond to Dover.
If you fancy a peacfull wekend you can't do better.
I'll post some pics and a vid later.
Off to Dorset next week.
Phil.
ps...local brew Bishops Neame.
