Fiat Recall Again

Took my 2017 Ducato back today for them to try again for the 3rd time to stop the water leaking behind the scuttle (just tried it still leaking) while there I checked up on the latest Fiat recall 6172 Intercooler Sleeve Collar. The garage still don't have the parts & its looking like the promised delivery of next week isn't likely, the best is the week after, trouble is I am going down to Spain on the 24th Feb so unless it can be done that last week we're screwed until we get back.
While I was there I asked about the 3 x 2017 motorhomes parked in the compound, they all have broken EGR pipes or brackets so can't be driven on safety grounds & again are waiting on parts. The service manager said he has about another 50 motorhomes booked to come in for the EGR recall. When we were away the other weekend I spoke to a guy with a 2017 van who didn't know of the recall, checked his Vin & sure enough his van will need to be done. Maybe its time motorhome manufacturers started using a different base vehicle, you would think after 'clutch gate' Fiat would make sure that they are supplying a product suitable for motorhome use. Pretty certain this will be the last Fiat based van I buy, what with problems with Swift I seem to be spending a lot of time at the Swift & Fiat dealers, might ask them for my personal parking spot :lol-053:. Of the 3000 miles I have on the clock almost 500 must be trips to Fiat or Swift.
