Hi
I need to change my headlamps from LHD to RHD and although it has passed the MOT with beam deflectors, DVLA have rejected it because it doesn’t conform to U.K. roads!! I think it is a new ****** thing!!
Does anyone have any lights I can purchase or more likely, can anyone give me a part number for the lights with daytime running.
Fiat are having trouble giving this info.
Thanks in advance
Kind regards

There are sets of headlamps available on eBay. You can do a compatibility check by entering your reg number. Or contact supplier before ordering.

Here’s lights for older ducatos

Heres lights for 2014-20 models

Thanks for that. I can’t enter my
Reg No though as it is still French registered.

When was your van registered.
Check relevant details including any photographs for comparison.
Contact seller for advice, and ask if they can be returned if they are not compatible.

The vehicle was registered Sep 2017.
Not sure if the lights specify daytime running lights.

Nowt to do with ******, the MOT is different from DVLA, they follow the Road Vehicle Construction and Use Act which has different rules, I've never understood why the two aren't the same though 🤔
In 2011 I imported a motorbike, passed the MOT and failed the DVLA single vehicle test because the tyres didn't have the CE mark on and the mirrors didn't have enough of a rim around them

Regards,
Del

Daytime running lights are controlled from the vehicle wiring not the headlights.
If all lamps are in situ, then they will operate as daytime running lights. I would look carefully at the photographs to make comparisons. But it would appear that the second link given is what you require.

There are various options with/ without DRLs in the headlights of the x290 model, and if IRC different DRLs too! Wiring loom may be incorrect unless correct lamps are purchased.

Hi
Maybe I am confused with daytime running lights! All I mean is that the side lamps are lit when the engine is running.

No my fault Alshmyer, yeoblade corrected me.
You need the more expensive lights he posted for your DRL lights to function.
And you are correct, DRL lights come on when you turn on your engine.
I wrongly assumed this was controlled by the wiring.

Because you only get what you pay for. Aftermarket headlamps are very poor quality compared to original equipment. Trying to save a few quid is fair enough but headlamps are pretty important when it’s dark so personally I would fit originals.

It’s not just a few quid though is it?
It’s £400!!
That’s a lot of money to some of us.
The lights are probably all made in China. It’s just someone making a lot more profit.

Agree £400 is a lot of your spending it on a runabout but your talking a 2017 motorhome worth maybe 20k plus.
