Hi all.
Just bought the above cover, it claims the material is water resistant but even after moderate rain, water somehow enters the cover and pools in the bottom....so the bottom is really waterproof and the cover needs undoing to allow the water to empty. I'm wondering if the material is a bit like a tent skin i.e. anything in contact with it draws water in, but as the cover is obviously in touch with the saddles, handlebars etc how could it ever keep the water out?!? Anyone else had issues like this? My old Oxford cover got rips in it but never let water in like this does!

Just wait a couple of years it will be totally non waterproof, the backing material seems to disintegrate.

No backing material, just single skin "water resistant"....not that it's much good at that!
We bought a Hindemann Bike Cover, in May 2022, that is virtually backless, so the rainspray gets thrown up and collects in the bottom of the Cover that loops over the wheels. One German purchaser solved the problem by drilling a drainage hole and fitting a tarp lacing 'eye'. I've marked the place to drill; just haven't got round to making the hole [cue Bernard Cribbins] and probably fitting a short drainage tube

The backless design makes it much easier to fit the Cover; the compromise is the swimming pool in the base ...

Already have it in mind to make a couple of holes with re-enforced eyelets to allow the water to drain out but still not keen on all that water getting on the electric bikes, have to keep the battery connectors covered with plastic bags as the water running into them.
