Having been a member for just a few months, but a lurker longer than that, it is about time I introduced you to Ferdinand. He is a 2003 Autocruise Pioneer Magellan and I attach some photgraphs I took of him when he was on sale at Heart of England Motorhomes. HoE is a family run company for which I have nothing but praise. Anyway this is Ferdinand and we like him very much.
As you will see he has a bike rack and a Fiamma roll out awning which we have often sat under enjoying whatever views are presented to us.
We particularly like the rear lounge. To have a triple aspect sitting area is
very pleasant when it is not quite nice enough to sit outside.
I have not driven the newer X250 version, but I do enjoy the driving position in Ferdinand.
There have been a few mods since we had him. We have fitted a Fiamma 46 security handle which doubles as a handle to aid access inside for my wife, A reversing camera and we are in the process of fitting air suspension from VB Air. I am taking the opportunity to increase the GVW from 3300kg to 3500kg. Technically it could have been raised to 3800kg, but as I am 70 years old in a couple of years I have plated it back to avoid any licence complications. There is plenty of payload for just the two of us.
One day I'll get round to showing you where we have been.
