Some friends of ours are in France right now and they're having to cool off in a river its so hot, so I'm digging me sunnies out. Not seen them since last year. Hope I can find them!!

Last summer in early August we were wilding down the river Tarn and it hit over 40 degrees. Normally when its late 20's or low 30's we go out on the bike and its lovely just in shorts and T shirts but it was so hot in the valley the roads along side the rocky side of the valley were even hotter and it was like driving through an oven. The river was lovely though. I lost count of the number of rivers and lakes we swam in last year.

Only two weeks to go. Yippeeeeee

We hope to follow early June,we have habitation today plus new sink, control box,and a few other bits. First Mot and service next week,and road tax too,My wallet will need a holiday by then.

Operation Overlord

We're heading over on 6th June, for a few weeks.

That date rings a bell for some reason.

Almost done. Ordered my euros from Sainsbury Online and collect tomorrow. Checked prices against Tesco, Post Office, M&S, Cash Generator and Sainsbury's came out on top. Having said that Cash Generator was the best price (as is usually the case) but by the time I've driven into town and paid for parking etc, it's more cost effective to pop into Sainsbury's.
