Favourite power tools

OK, self builders and DIY enthusiasts, what is the best power tool you have (or had)?
Will it be the humble jigsaw, or the ever handy cordless drill/screwdriver?
Or what about more technical stuff like table saws, mitre saws, routers, or the quirky Dremel?
This is a serious(ish) question, it will be good to know what one should buy when considering the next self-build project or rebuild/modification of your pride and joy.
Let's hear it then!

Personally I have all of the above and more and find that there is always something missing, that is I need more tools.

I don't really use them that much but they are there for the once a year that I really do need them. I could start to list them all but life's too short.

Actually a good number of them belong to work but whose counting?

For pure unadulterated Violence Against Wood it's got to be the chainsaw...

festo plunge saw means cutting up sheets is a doddle
planer thicknesser an table saw for making wood the size i want
8 routers so i can shape the wood without changing blades too often
electra beckum chopsaw for cutting to perfect length and angles

biscuit jointer for sticking every thing together
two or three of every thing so theres one in the van and one in the shed
heavy duty metabo sander for finishing what you made and making it look good
air nailers without which life would be awful
i could go on but don't want to be thought of as a tool freak, now where's me multisaw?

not really a power tool but an air nibbler .ideal for no sharp edges and ideal for cutting window appertures.
i tend to use air tools alot .drils etc . and the old da sander.
not keen on drill screwdrivers .but a good ratchet snap on driver is ideal.
like most of you have alsorts of tools . cant get rid of any of them .
can you have too many tools.?

I can fully identify myself when reading this. Especially the 8 router bit! I have a metal working background, always takes me a little bit longer to set up the wood working tools. Would love to leave a setup router alone and use another one for the next task!

Dremel is my favourite gadget. Has gooten me out of trouble loads of times when other tools weren't suitable or just oo big.

And what I would really like is a cordless tool with a battery that lasts all day, weighs only 100gramm and recharges in 30 mins! They are now selling power tools with Lithium batteries, but ££££'s
