My water content gauge has suddenly started to malfunction ,it used to read, full 50% ,30% 0%,it now only reads 50%. ,0%, it gives an annoying bleep when the 0 % comes on , it drop's to 0% when the tank is half full .

The van is a 2013 nu venture Rio with CBE 200 electronics, any advice please on tracing the fault :help:

Spend some of your millions Bazz, and buy a new van :lol-053:

Probably, or possibly the probes within the tank need cleaning!

That's what it usually is.Can you get access to the fresh water tank level probes?
I use a stainless steel scouring pad to clean the probes when they start to give spurious readings usually about once a year.

Maybe try the wires connecting the probes first. Check they are secure mine were all loose so I used to get erratic readings cleaning the end of the probe and clamping the connectors down sorted it.

Is it usually necessary to remove the tank to access the probes, are the probes bonded in

Thanks for advice in Devon now will investigate when I get home.:sleep-027:

Only gauge we have had that worked properly was in the winnebago they have their own system that are stuck on the outside of the tank so don't scale up and worked well .

Was that next to the fuel gauge that went down quicker than a thia hooker😜

Lol
Fuel gauge was scary :scared::danger:
The lpg gauge never worked properly
Surprisingly they actually aren't that bad on fuel
The transit we had drank fuel if you put your foot down and the 3 litre Fiat wasn't great but the Iveco now that was beyond scary, I reckon less than 16 to the gallon and Iveco said it was within their specs !!!!

A litre of water costs more than a litre of fuel now. I seen lpg at a small place today for 49p.A litre of water same place £1.30 bonkers🤔

a new van would be worse than my old one

:ditto:

On my previous 13 y/old van all worked perfectly, but not on the new one, center probe scales up, used lime scale remover, , the whole assembly was easily removed through floor hatch, 6 month on adn they need doing again, we do live in a hard water area.
I have read suggestions to run a wire to a stainless steel plate in bottom of tank and earth that helps, as a kind of sacrificial anode (I know it's not that exactly that but along those lines) so I'll give it a go when I clean the probes soon

Mine started doing exactly the same when we were in Scotland now when it is completely full it only reads 60% and like yours it starts to flash when it thinks it's almost empty when it's not lol
