Faulty Ducato fuel guage.

Hi Folks.Just put £20 diesel in my wagon and the fuel guage hardly moved!!

From "full" my needle hardly moves for the first 100 or so miles. I glow, thinking how little fuel I am using.
Then it starts to speed up ( no, down ) and before I know where I am, the red warning light is on.
Net result ? 420 miles - every time.

Don't be too harsh on the fuel guage. £20 fuel is roughly 3 gallons, which is about 14 Litres. If your tank was nearly empty at the time, there will hardly be any movement. It cost over a £100 to fill a Ducato tank from empty.I do agree that sometimes when I fill up to the brim, the needle only registers half way between full and 3/4.

Hi, If you had been at Tescos, just outside Bournemouth, at 8.00 this morning you would have seen an elderly gentleman crying by the pay kisok. £45 shopping £85 diesel.

Just wait, There is worse to come. My area in Cornwall today is £1.39p per litre for Diesel. £1.32p for normal gasoline.

Save your sympathy friends, it was not until I was travelling through the northeast of England that I realised just how upper class & gentlemanly I was.

Friday night.

Well it's Friday night so out to the cinema with the wife then a slap up fish & chip supper if she's lucky.Will I get change out of £5???
