I've often likened forums to pubs. You try a few and go back to those you like - often several for different types of entertainment. Some you try once and decide not to go back.

I thought this forum was in teh former category but, unfortunately it seems to have changed. Recent threads have contained unsavoury attacks on different groups for no justifiable reason - e.g. public sector workers and (despite a perfectly reasoned explanation) use of helicopters by Princes William & Harry.

There seems to me to be more and more whinging and ranting - which will never be listened to by anyone in authority - about important points when so much could be achieved by channeling the same energy into constructive criticism and suggestions to the people ranted against.

I know, because I've met them, that there are some very nice people using this forum. Unfortunately the postings of others put me off staying.

So farewell - and no doubt some will say good riddance to me. I'll carry on being constructive in other places.

i dont think that you need to leave, but of course that is your own decision this is a free speech forum and as we live in a free country every one is free to express there opinion. you have contributed to this site for as long as i can remember and have done so well, but if you do decide to leave then i for one wish you well i dont think anyone has personaly attacked any one else on this site out of mallace only expressed there opinion

good plan bertie....its a shame graham has left as he has done a lot of great work for motorhomers with his website!! i for 1 will miss his efforts and i know others will feel the same!!

I am Gob smacked that Graham feels that he must leave this Forum, He is without doubt one of the best campaigners on our behalf. He is a fellow local government worker and I hope that after reading these posts connected to his message that he will return. I too considered leaving after some distinctly racist and jingoistic comments. However the only way to combat such is to post an alternative argument and I for one will be sad to loose that voice and that of Firefox who has not posted in a while......... we might be from all spectrums of the political rainbow but we all love our motorhomes and the use and the freedom they give us, as such all of us are comrades in our lifestyle.............. PLEASE reconsider

sorry to see you felt you had to leave, i think the majority on this site respect you for all that you have done be it giving advice or helpful information. i for one have had occasion to use some of your advice and information and am gratefull for it. i hope you get to read some of the support other members have shown and choose to rejoin.

yes i hope he will come back, i dont think anyone attacks anyone personally, i for one would not unless they are. i may disagree with someones opinion and say so as everyone else does, but that is what makes life so interesting and diverse. it would be so boring if we all agreed about the same topics, and i also believe that if we have to agree with someones opinion so we dont upset there feelings then that will be wrong not only to that person but also to yourself and my belief is that if you cannot be truthful to yourself and your beliefs or opinion then you cannot be truthful to anyone so come on if you see this reconsider
