take car and enjoy whatever you decide to do

yep D & G is a lovely part of Scotland.

Most pass through but all down that coast is quiet and lovely, As well as the M/H we have static up there (going today till Sun) and have been there for 15 years and still love it.

Pleanty of places to park/camp, Portpatrick, Port Logan, Port William, Isle of Whithorn, loads and loads to see and do. A little inland is Leadhills and Wanlockhead (the highest village in Scotland even though its in the Lowlands) they are on the Southern Upland walkway. The roads in and out are lovely and tons of places to park with no hassle at all. Loads of folk camp and park up in valley in and out. You will see them all over the place.

If your passing call in for a brew.

Enjoy your trip.

hi i would recomend starting at dumfries,at car park accross the water from halfords, its only waking distance from town centre, then round the coast a75. castle duglas, into kirkcudbright, then theres port william, port logan, glenluce, stranraer, there is good place on the a77 just before girvin on right, and you can walk into girvin, continue up the a77 ,dunure ayr,, ect, there are lots of places to park and lots to do,,, isle of sky is also perfect,, hope this helps,, jake and dot....
