I am in my work base on the lap top has my BIG Computer (sound like Peter Kay) is not connected to the internet.
Trouble is I can’t watch telly at the same time. Might have to bring in the portable. SAD person am I not!!!!!
Well let me get back to the thread.
Went to watch George race near Rugeley. George had 3 races and came 7th out of 18 overall.
We set off home listening and doing what the lady on the SAT nav was telling us. Turn Left, Take the second exit, and turn right, you know how it goes.
We were ok until we came face to face with a narrow/low bridge.
Woops!!!
What do we do nowhere to turn but where we were. The road was narrow but there was a nice block paved driveway but with a small entrance and I turned in on a funny angle, I did not do it right.
The resident came to the window to watch, I must have blocked the daylight from his room. I think he was keeping an eye on his property.
3 teenage lads decided I was their teatime entertainment.
I proceeded to turn her very carefully a midges at a time as that was all the room to spare at the front and back. I had to keep getting out checking to make sure I was not scratching the resident’s brickwork. I have a tow bar and bike rack on the back and was lucky that ithe concrete stump was tapping the tow bar.
I lost count how many turns I was doing and the Tic-Tac man was doing a roaring trade taking bets. Ha Ha
The hotdog and ice cream vendors were not doing badly either as I think the traffic that had, had to stop and wait for me had switched their engines off.
I have just had a thought I could have been near/facing a pub or a beer garden oh God I think I would have died!!!!
Anyway I managed to turn her round and head back to the main road.
George and I gave a pitiful wave (if there is such a thing) and nod of the head to thank them for there patience.
Sorry I did not take any pictures, but I should imagine that it might make the local rag, but I am hoping I got out before they came.
I will admit I was s--- scared and concerned I might not have got her out that I would get her stuck across the road.
George and I headed for the main Stone road and pulled into the first lay-by we came across, where George could get a drink and I could gather my nerves.
BUT I did it and I do not want to do it again
