extending ramps for scooter, wheelchair

hi, i have a brand new set of extending ramps, [ approx 3ft, extending to 8-9 ft ] they,r very nice, shiny with a grip tread, however they are not suitable for what i want. i paid brownhills 600 pounds for them, im not comlaining but my choices are to send them back, set them aside and forget about them . try to sell them or do a swop, i would be more than happy to swap them for a silent generator, min 1500 watt, ? or if anyone hasany suggestions i would be pleased to hear them, i already have a single ramp, in my garage that came with the motorhome . thanks.

Hi, best bet, send them back. you can buy these ramps for 45 pounds each, they are the same as used by some motorbike trailer builders, get your money back soon as, And please shop around before paying silly Brownhills prices.

This is not just Brownhills Terry.
My wife is disabled and to qualify for disabled vat relief, we had to have ramps with both our first bus, a Pilote Galaxy supplied by Hayes Leisure, and our present bus, a Mclouis, supplied by Don Amott.
Between £550 and £650 is an average price, and as far as disability is concerned, HM Customs and Excise make the rules, and the dealer has to fit ramps before delivery to HMCC specs.
Ebay jobbies or other cheap ramps would not qualify.

To top it all, I find it far easier and quicker manhandling her scooter into the m/home garage by hand, so our £640 ramps are in the garden shed giving homes to dozens of spiders and other creepy crawlies !!

Either way, I think you have the right idea - sell 'em back to the dealer.
