MH booked in for a new clutch and the gears need a looking at after I twatted a new gear knob onto the stick with a mallet. Garage fella said something about a floating linkage summat or other which definitely should not be abused by a mallet. What does he know hey?
Brake pipes need replacing.
Full service.
MOT.

I'll be keeping the cost down by replacing the boring plastic dust caps with chrome skull caps which cost an eyewatering £3.29.
Do they screw on or do I have to bring out my trusty mallet?
 
I would stick to the plastic dust caps, as the chrome ones will soon fuse to the valve and just when you need to remove them, they wont come off,
Then you will have a new thread on how you are stuck at the roadside with a soft tyre and the valve ripped trying to get the expensive valve cap off

Easy fix that Richard. Just hacksaw the valve off!


You know, I think I'll write a motoring self help book and call it Rals Motoring Hacks.
Should be a top seller.
