Just wondered if anyone had successfully found a provider to cover motorway tolls in France, Italy and Spain. The units seem to exist ADAC/DKV and if I lived in Germany I could get one or if I had a business to run it through, but private seems more difficult. Any pointers would be gratefully received!

I've no idea, but I'll talk to the lady who got me one, i suspect she'll want to know your GVW and number of axles.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't an issue as its a motorhome, but don't quote me as I may be wrong.

Why bother?

There are no weigh tolls that I am aware of.

I think he means a motorway toll tag and is just concerned about which class.

Yes I get that. We use ours all the time with no bother (5000kg MH).

Well any info would be brilliant. Sorry, yes it is for the motorway networks and I guess possibly some tunnels? I’m plated at 3.7t. 2 Axles. However if what GMJ says is true perhaps it’s not a thing. I just wanted to avoid faffing at toll gates if it’s avoidable. I have seen a couple of units but they only work for vehicles up to 3.5.

I use Fulli, it covers France, Spain, Portugal and Italy.
We are plated at 3800kg

I’ve had her check and the above is correct, mines 4.1t standard tag

Slightly off piste, but in 2018 we were forced on to an Italian autostrada as the main road was flooded, and there was no other way along the coast under a mountain range. Anyway on entering there were no barriers down and no staff at the booths, however, at the off booth we were fined €90 for not paying plus the toll fee. Once home we managed to contact the authority concerned and received a full refund including the toll fee without argument.
Try asking for a refund from any rip-off British vulture industry parking firm - no chance, no refunds - crooks!

Well I’ve settled on one from Fulli so thanks to RoaminRog for the steer. I did also try another provider suggested which would have worked equally well but they were having a website problem when I was trying. Hopefully my tag will be here in a while.
Appreciate the assistance

I think you can pay for the ferry to Sicily with your Fulli tag as well, saves buying a ticket!

re Sicily ferry: One thing on that though is that we found that booking an advance crossing before we left was cheaper than just turning up.

That seems to be the way with most things nowadays Graham.

Back in the olden days it was the other way round, just turn up and get a good price because they wanted the ferries as full as possible on each crossing.

We've got a Bip & Go tag. The van is 4.5 Tonnes. It works in France, Spain and Italy. You can buy different packages. It's on a French language webpage, but does have English pages too.
