As fitted to Autotrail, Autocruise and Bentley MH.s.

The on / off key pad has become intermittently faulty. A flamin nuisance, because we were never certain if it was permanently broken.

I checked with the maker, EMP. , Who offered to send me a placement panel, for £260+ .... They will not despatch to overseas addresses. ... Complicated for us.
In desperation, I removed the panel and gave the micro switch a whiff of WD40, also the connection plug and socket, the same.
Left it in the sunshine and breeze, for a couple of hours.
BINGO ! 100 % Successful.
.. So far.
 
I can't understand why I didn't try the magic spray,first.
My basic tool kit. ..
For things that start to move, that shouldn't move... Superglue and Gorilla tape.

For things that no longer move, but should... WD40.

Your theory is up the swannee mate.

I tried WD40 on the old todger and it didn't move a fraction - it's still pointing south.:sad::sad::sad:

I've Gorilla taped it now!!

Had exactly the same problem in my Autocruise Stargazer, half a teardrop of WD40 dribbled down into the switch and instantly successful. £250 repair, nice if you can get that business for half a teardrop

Well, that's what a tool kit is for !

Gorilla tape? From what I've heard, you'd have been more appropriate using chimpanzee tape..
