hi thinging of buying the above 2.8 td anybody know of any bad points or good regards chris

See that nobody has replied, they probably aren't ignoring you but don't tend to see that many Elnaghs in the UK, also I think the model is a Doral not Doran. From the ones I've seen they look a reasonably well built van. I'm guessing it is on a Fiat or Peugeot 2.8 TD so not a new model so the condition is important to check. as somebody posted on here about problems with damp (think of it like caravan or motorhome cancer) can sometimes be repaired but can also be terminal. Buy a damp meter & give it a good checking over. If your not mechanical get somebody who is to have a good look at the van. If buying from a dealer make sure you get some sort of warranty & have a decent test drive.
Check the mileage against any MOT's or history if there is any, most motorhomes are relatively low mileage if this one isn't then it might have been a rental one.

Better if you ask for general advice about what to look for if you are thinking about a less well known make of motorhome.

BTW is it this one ENLAGH DORAL 2.8 TD on ebay, he had 10 bids & it got to £14,100.00 it has now been re-listed.

I havent a clue re the robustness of Elnagh.

However the Fiat 2.8 tdi I have on my unit and is a good engine....gearbox problems and electrics are the weaknesses to look out for on road test for my twopenneth

I have an Elnagh Super D106 which I bought new in 2006. It is built on a Renault Master and has a 3l turbo engine.

I have about 40,000 Km done in it and it has served me really well. They are generally a well finished 'van with many 'extras'. Would I buy another one - Yes I would. I bought it in Germany and I think it was good value for money. At the time I paid about €56,000 for it including the extras I had fitted and if I bought here in Cork (there was a dealer here then) it would have cost c.€70,000.

Of course you should have a test done on the base vehicle and on the habitation element like any other van.

I hope it works out well for you.
