Electrobloc Surge Protector

Reading on another forum that the Electrobloc fitted to German motorhomes are vunerable to damage from electrical spikes when on hookup (more of a problem overseas).
It seems you can buy a surge protector from Schaudt for £80 ish SCHAUDT OVER VOLTAGE PROTECTOR OVP 01 FOR HYMER'S ETC | eBay

I have found this for a lot less but seems to do a similar thing IEC SURGE PROTECTOR ISP5 KETTLE STYLE CONNECTOR | eBay

Hi Jeff,

Another alternative is made by Sollatek.com. I have tried to do a link but as it is a pdf file, it does not want to work.

The Sollatek is designed for a/c systems but was recommended to me for Electrobloc protection.
