Electric Motocycle

too much power? big fat bike? you ever hear of a full power VMax?

Just looked all wrong to me. I have heard of a Vmax. Are they not 300kg+. I wouldnt fancy chucking one of them round the Hartside pass either at full chat. I bet it would fly well though (off the side of the mountain)

I've ridden heavy bikes all my life Barry, I prefer them to be honest, much more planted than lightweight stuff; you get used to the weight very quickly to the point of it being low speed that you have to worry about. A 1500cc full dresser wing is no joke on gravel, but it's doable after a while

Its probably because of where I ride. I still think the Vstrom is a tad too heavy and its only 216kg with a full tank of fuel and its got a massive tank. I still fancy one of them KTM Duke 690s for a laugh as they are only 159kg I think but the reliability and problems put me off.

A friend of mine is selling her 2022 Super Soco electric Motorcycle and at 66kg it would be suitable for carrying on the back of many Motorhomes.

She is looking for offers around £1800, if anybody is interested I can put you in touch with her.

getting back on topic, I think that looks pretty handy :)
obviously won't suit those who want a full-fat bike, but that is not the point of it, is it.

I thought the same David.

To carry on a rack on the back of a Motorhome it would be a decent and street legal way of visiting the shops etc without having to take the van.

At just 66kg you could almost hang it off a bike rack! :D

Its half the weight of a lot of 125cc Scooters so it could well be ok for someone who is struggling with payload. It might also be acceptable for a cheap tow ball mounted rack as well as I seem to think the nose limits are usually around 90kg for them ruling out pretty much all scooters.

Our pride and joy for a few years, ex Bandit Cup 139 bhp with a few bits to tart it up I added. Replaced it with a couple Bonnies and finally a Beemer R1150 GS

Issue is range, they state 40miles but to keep the battery healthy say you should not allow to discharge below 20% and not charge above 80% that makes the useable range 24miles in cold weather that will drop.

I would imagine the second battery is a must, not an option.
