Electric Doorstep

Hi Folks,
Having problems with an electric doorstep on my mobilvetta campervan.
The step is a Project 2000, made of course in Italy. I can't find any info on the net.
I have checked all micro switches and the motor itself everything fine. The step will close automatically when the engine starts as it should.
I seem to have lost a positive supply somewhere which I will no doubt find eventually but a wiring diagram or installation instructions for the step would make life easier.
Any help out there?
Thanks Brian

Hi Basildog,
Thanks, but I found that one, tested and OK. Everything on the step itself appears to be alright. It's the positive supply which appears to be missing. The problem with these motorhomes is that they fit so many odd fuses in odd places. It would help to know which pins on the step connector plugs were doing what.
A wiring diagram when they sell these vans would be a real help.
Thanks anyway, I'll get there, it's only Time which at 73 I have plenty of!!

As usual the answer to this problem was quite simple. A fuse under the bonnet of the van which hadn't blown but was corroded between the fuse blade and holder. A meter reading showed volts on each of the fuse holder terminal screws but obviously the resistance built up when the step motor tried to run. Because the problem was intermittent I never gave the fuse another thought after visually checking it.
What a stupid place to put fuses,in a dirty, wet, engine compartment.
1 1/2 days to find, ten mins to fix!!

techno micro switch

:cool1: just thought i would tell those of you who have a project 2000 single sliding step with micro switch problems (mine is 2008 model) that the micro switch is available through . caravanparts.org for aprox £33.00 including postage. or you can go to a fiat garage and purchase a fiat panda/ritmo/tipo/uno, door light switch ,almost the same also same manufacturer, i purchased mine from e/bay £4. plus postage.the only diferance i can see is there is no groove around the shaft and no rubber cover, hope this is some help.
