Electric bikes for sale

Hi All,
My wife and I bought 2 electric bicycles, a FreeGo folding bike and a FreeGo Hawk. Links here to see the manufacturers site.
FreeGo Electric Bike - The Folding Bike
FreeGo Electric Bike - The Hawk

We bought them after getting incorrect advice about a towbar, and the difficulty of a non UK resident insuring a motor scooter. but have since overcome those issues and now have a scooter and the 2 bikes.
They cost 1,000 pound each and we bought them on 16th May. Getting them back to Australia is also proving a nightmare (why does everything have to be so hard).

We would like to sell them at a bargain basement price of 600 pound each if bought together, or 650 if separated. I know that if someone here buys them, they will go to a good home. They are as good as new as they can be from being on the back of a motorhome with a tarp over them. They are now the same price as cheap quality Chinese models but you will be getting the best you can. The Hawk comes with the 16 Ah lithium polymer battery. They are actually very good, but didn't quite suit our purpose. You will not be disappointed if this is what you are looking for. For info, the electric side is a pedal assist system, it can be ridden as electric only but not recommended. Very easy to scale steep hills with the maximum assist.

The difficult part now. We are travelling the UK and will be for another 2 months. Currently in North Yorkshire and heading towards Scotland. We should be able to organise some sort of meet up, as we are flexible in our touring arrangements.

I don't know who you flew with but when we went with virgin to Oz in May we were allowed sports equipment over and above our baggage allowance. I think the weight limit was 23kg so you would have to put the batteries in your main luggage...

Re Virgin and sports.

Thanks Sue and Martin,

As it stands, it looks like they will be sold soon, also advertised on Gumtree and there has been pretty good response. Offloading would actually save us a lot of hassle overall.

Cheers
Owen

Hawk has flown

If anyone is still interested, the Hawk model has been sold. Foldup still to go.
Cheers
Owen. In Perth, on the way to Inverness. Chasing the sun and losing.
