EHIC Card

Hi, just realised that my EHIC card has expired. Although we always have travel Ins we do like to have both.
Now I have just on the website where it says that if the EHIC Card has expired you can apply for a UK GHIC card or UK EHIC card if you have withdrawal rights.
I am not sure which one to apply for, does anyone know?

GHIC unless you are a U.K. citizen who was residing in Europe.

I looked into replacing our EHIC cards with the new GHIC cards but you have to wait until there`s only 6 months left on the old ones before you can replace them.

I have a reminder set for that date because even though we always have travel insurance it`s good to have both IMHO

Glad I spotted this post new ghic cards applied for as our others expired 2018. hopefully get them before next month if the post strikes don't hold them up
