Well East Lothian really know how to let us know we are not welcome. They have filled in the laybye outside their whitesands carpark.

I know where this is, near Barns Ness lighthouse, and not an area I have stayed the night at. Did it suffer same use as at NB?

Basically during lockdown the lay bye was filled with cars, for about 1/4 mile who could have paid £2.50 to park all day in the car park. We can’t due to barriers. The place is back to normal now, but our friends East Lothian decided on this measure. You can park out with the double yellow lines, but with no sea view, including on the grass meridian. We were chatting to the traffic warden this morning.

Bill, with all the abuse around EL, and in some instances absolute abuse, NB may become history from what we have been use to. For me there is a cure, do what other counties do and make a charge, which would hopefully keep out the scrotes (if they don’t want to pay) like those in the grey Campervan and live near me.

Yes that’s what Fife have done at kingbarns and Elie. North Berwick was actually quiet, only two vans including the numpty on the lower carpark and one on the upper. But the problems at whitesands were primarily car and Covid related. We spent several nights there in the past with only one of two other vans, and if they allowed us into the car park there would have probably been none.
