My Sony Pocket Edition is due this week an early
Xmas pressy.

I got the leather cover and charger from fleabay and I have some ebooks
ready and waiting bought through WH Smiths in their 60% off section.

I'll let you know what I think after it's test run.

Looking at the kindle 3, 'cos we always take loads of books. The 3g version seems to be able to access tinternet too in a limited fashion. Shame they're not waterproof so you can read in the bath...

kindle ...got to have the 3G version though if you travel , no download charges and you can use for free [ slow] websurfing /emails etc on the 3G as well

Ereader's  my wife & I have a couple of Dell Axim PDA's (been around for years) as well as being able to get on the internet with wifi, play games, run lots of applications under Windows Mobile (even used it as a satnav for many years using a bluetooth GPS & Tomtom mobile) & we use Microsoft Reader to read books. I have probably thousands, from old classics to some of the latest ones. If I have a book in any sort of electronic format I can usually convert it using Calibre. CALIBRE

If I had wrote this email yesterday I would of gone about my Kindle with 3G, however this morning it has done out like a bonfire on a rainy night, as frozen as the north pole.

I have tried everything as suggested on Amazons website and now I await amazons response to my email.

My kindle is about 6 weeks old-I am not impressed!

As for use in the bath or else where jsut pop your E reader into a aquapac, we use them for phones, cameras etc when we go canoing.
