It depends what drinks you want to buy. Good quality wine is still relatively inexpensive in France and you can still buy at around the 2 euros per bottle. You can also pay a lot more. Spirits in France are not so cheap and are similar in price to the UK, or maybe slightly cheaper. Any supermarket is good to buy and most of them have offers on, ie, 3 cases of wine for the price of 2 etc.

I know alcohol is very, very expensive in Norway so you want to stock up before you get there. I can't offer advice on Belgium, Holland Denmark or Germany because I've not been.

Definitely, don't leave it 'till you get to Norway or you'll be in for a nasty shock!

Watch your limits - Norway is very stricty on the import of alcohol and you will likely be searched and any confiscated;

When it comes to alcohol, customs regulations are a little stricter. You will have to be 18 or older to import beverages with less than 22% alcohol, and 20 years or older to bring beverages with more than 22% alcohol.

The quantities allowed depend on the alcohol level as well - the higher the alcohol content, the lower your limit: Maximum of 1 liter with 22 % - 60 % alcohol plus 1½ litre with 2.5 % - 22 % alcohol. (Or 3 litres with 2.5 % - 22 % alcohol.)

Basically a MAX of 1 litre of spirits and 3 litres of wine / beer.

PS Take out a second mortgage if you want to eat and drink out, third mortgage required for fuel!!!
