Durham and Kielder

We are off up next week to the above areas
has anyone any suggestions for good wild overnight spots.

We recently stayed at Tunstall reservoir actually in the car park.

We arrived very late and a couple were sleeping in a BMW!!

The car park has 'No Camping' signs.

There are great views in the morning!

We have stayed at Elf Kirk viewpoint quite a few times it is just past the first visitor centre on Kielder on the right hand side. Last time there was 2 more campervans overnighting.It is quite high up and gives you a great view. there are some pics on my profile

we stop back the pub thar in fo a pint as well toilets just up road (diggdeep)
