Dune de Pyla (Pilat)

Anyone know if there is or are aires near to the Dune de Pyla? Just googled the place and the prices of campsites is shocking.

Yes there is. Its on the road that runs down behind the dune. which I think is the D218, maybe 4 or 5 miles south.
Its actually located between the road and the coast/dune in the forest, and was one of the most vivid memories of our trip down there last September. There must have been a 100 motorhomes in the forest while we were there, almost like a white army hiding waiting to invade.

This one sounds like the parking area 'petit nice' that we stayed at several years ago. We re-visited 2 years ago and they'd put height barriers in. But this was in June.
