dumfries and galloway for xmas

hi there.
does anybody out there have any info with regards to staying in dumfries and galloway over xmas.
i have two young children and could go one or two nights with hook up(or is that a swear word on this forum).
please let me know of any info on this great area of the uk

Dunno about xmas we always go up to Biggar for new year and have a great time with some great people. Elec hook up well suppose you could always tap into a lamppost but the council may get pissy h34r: . Never stayed on campsite in me life waste of money infact dunno if me 240 hook up works (must try it ) Anyway back to Biggar it is far better than any big city party as the locals realy know how to party

There are a couple of good overnight places in Kirkudbright.If you look them up on the website, there are details of road numbers and how to get there. I'm glad We're not the only ones to enjoy Scotland at Christmas
