I am sure I had a conversation this weekend about if we all brought a plastic duck to our meets so that if we had a stream we could have a duck race
anyone remember this

I remember this polly. AJ and zeezee volunteered to run after them and collect them after they reached the finish line. My duck has a little propeller will it be allowed.

we did talk about using real ducks as it would be really funny watching Aj and Zeezee runing after them..
im sure someone did also suggest bring along a spit and having crispy duck for dinner
that is if the boys every catch them

Pam once said to me, can we take our own ducks to enter the duck race in a local village. I explained that they weren't Indian Runners only Khaki Campbells

Too expensive them plastic ducks, just save all your empty malt bottles, we can paint numbers on them.

Sorry folks, just thought it would be some light fun at the Anglers Rest, Miller Dale pending sports weekend, and Hayfield, kids would love it, maybe make a few bob for Zee and Ajs charity funds.
I think I know a man who as some plastic ducks for the race, and a net. If not small pop bottles (plastic) will do. Children to be with an adult by the water, at all times you understand

What a great idea Bill, at Hayfield we could set the ducks off at the site reception, at an agreed time,and with volunteers at various points along the riverbank to give any ducks that get stuck a little push to help them on their way.. You and I will be positioned at the finish line as Judges(The Hotel/Pub carpark at the bridge) to monitor the winners and present the prizes to the winning ducks owners
